Funexpo Madrid and Funergal reinforce their alliance

>> Funergal becomes the partner of Funexpo Madrid for the territory of Galicia and Portugal

11/09/2020.– Funexpo Madrid and Funergal reinforce their collaboration agreement to join forces in the detection of new business opportunities, both in the Iberian and international markets for companies in the Spanish funeral sector.

The collaboration between both fairs had already materialized in other aspects such as integration in the organizing committees, in mutual promotion and in the organization of conferences. This close cooperation was evident during the 1st International Congress of Funeral Directors organized by Funergal last September, but from this moment on, a further step is taken, since Funergal will become the partner of Funexpo Madrid in the territorial area of Galicia and Portugal.

Institutional support

This agreement will also be an example of public-private inter-territorial cooperation, since both fairs have the support of the institutions of the cities and communities in which they are held. FunexpoMadrid, organized by the El Corte Inglés Travel Congress Division, has the collaboration of the City Council of the capital, the Madrid Business Confederation (CEIM), the Madrid Chamber of Commerce, Madrid Hospitality and Funeral Services Madrid, among others. Funergal is organized by the Expourense Foundation, of whose Board of Trustees the Xunta de Galicia, the Provincial Council of Ourense, the Ourense City Council, as well as the Ourense Business Confederation (CEO), among others, are part of the Board of Trustees.

FunexpoMadrid will celebrate its first edition in Madrid between June 9 and 11, 2021. It is the first fair in the sector in the Spanish capital, chosen for another year as the best European destination for congress tourism at the World Travel Awards. It will be held at the “Caja Mágica” venue, offering exhibitors and visitors ample space and state-of-the-art equipment located in a city with direct flights to the main capitals of the world. Funergal, for its part, will celebrate its 11th edition in Ourense in May 2022 and will contribute its extensive experience and specialization as an international fair and its knowledge of the Portuguese and Latin American funeral market. Both fairs thus establish synergies to also address other international markets, and strengthen their events focused on business development in the value chain of the funeral sector.
