FUNERGAL organizes the “3rd International Congress of Funeral Directors” with the participation of important professionals in the sector.

This Congress has the objective of becoming a meeting point to analyze the current situation of the funeral sector.

III INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF FUNERAL DIRECTORS
Dates: May 16 and 17

Thursday May 16

10:00 a.m.: Opening of the conference.

10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Sustainability in the funeral industry.
Carlos Gallego Gómez, Director of Sustainability, Marketing and Communication at Grupo Albia.

11:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Mortuary Health Decree of Galicia.
Collaboration: Ministry of Health. Territorial Headquarters of Ourense. Xunta de Galicia.
Presented by: Laura López del Castillo. Territorial head of the Department of Health in Ourense.
Taught by: José Martínez Grande, head of the environmental risk control service, and Darío Javier González Conde, coordinator of pharmaceutical services in the province of Ourense.

12:15 p.m.: Official Opening of Funergal 2024.

1:00 p.m. to 1:40 p.m.: New FP law, implications for funeral companies.
Taught by: Leonardo Marín Malavé. Atlantis Formation.

1:45 p.m. to 2:15 p.m.: Crisis communication in the funeral sector.
Agustín Palacio. CEO Innova Funeraria.

4:45 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.: Dialogue: What really matters.
Speakers: Mª Dolores Asensi and Carlos Macías. President and Vice President of the Funeral Services Observatory.

 

Friday, May 17

10:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.: Exploit the power of social networks in your Tributes in Life.
Taught:
Ismael Guzmán. General Director of Funerals and Chapels Ismael Guzmán. The Savior.

11.00 a.m. to 11.40 a.m.: Cemeteries: environmental commitment and aligned with climate change.
Speaker: Miquel Trepat, president of AFCM (National Association of Municipal Entities and Companies of Funeral and Cemetery Services).

11:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.: Coffee Break.

12.00 to 12.45 h.: Commitment to ethics in the funeral sector.
Speakers: Alejandro Quinzán. General Secretary of PANASEF (National Association of Funeral Services), Daniel Palacios. General Manager of Albia and Isabel Tamarit. General Manager of Pompas Fúnebres de La Coruña.

12:45 to 2:15 p.m.: Thanatological processes.
Jaume Prats and Manuel Martín will take a tour of the most frequent cadaveric practices applied today.

Saturday May 18:
1:00 p.m.: Closing ceremony of Funergal 2024.
